Why Do You Need a Dehumidifier in Your Home?
If you are living in Singapore, you would have have experienced a series of heatwave in the past two months. Humidity is primarily caused by increased evaporation and the warm air's capacity to hold more moisture.
The average humidity level in Singapore is about 82% which is relatively high due to the climate in this tropical island. High humidity can also cause problems such as mold and mildew growth, which over time can spread and damage your home and affect your health. Ideally, the humidity level should be between 40-60%.

Apart from the weather, there are other factors that contribute to the high humidity level at home too such as boiling water, steaming food, bathroom steam from hot showers and many more.
Here are some tips to reduce humidity level at home!
• Turn on the A/C and set it to dry mode
The dry mode which is also the dehumidifying mode can help to reduce the moisture in the room or space.
• Open the windows or turn on the fan to let the area ventilate
By opening the windows, the moisture-laden air will escape and fresh air will enter. This will also help to lower the humidity level.
• Leave the bathroom door open after showering to air the area
After showering, moisture tend to build up in the bathroom which causes the humidity level to rise. Do consider lowering the water temperature to a comfortable level so that there is lesser steam produced in the bath.
• Use a Dehumidifier
Dehumidifiers are recommended for larger areas such as bedrooms, kitchens or living room which can regulate the humidity levels which will make your home's air better for breathing.
Our dehumidifier has a large tank capacity of 2000ML, and has an extraction rate of up to 1000ml a day (dependent on the surrounding moisture levels). Its coverage is up to 480 sqft which is more than sufficient for a flat's living area. The dehumidifier is not only restricted to living areas, but it can also be used in bedrooms and kitchens.
Having a dehumidifier is beneficial to reducing humidity and also to stop mold and mildew from thriving in wet and moist areas.
